The groups are study based and generally last somewhere between 6-12 weeks. Study groups are a great opportunity to connect with others and to grow in a specific area related to the study. These groups may be Women’s Groups, Men’s Groups or Mixed Groups and will meet at various times throughout the week including Sunday morning.
Women at The Vine have a unique opportunity on Wednesday mornings as several Women’s Study Groups meet at the same time (9:30 am) with childcare provided.
Doctrines of Grace
Sunday Morning – 9:00am – 10:15am – Starting Feb. 9th
Doctrines of Grace – Mixed Group · 8 Weeks
What is theology and why study it? Some are put off with this topic. We might say, “All I need to know is Jesus”. However, once you say one word about your beliefs about God, you are into theology. It’s not a question of whether or not we’re into theology, it’s whether or not we are sound in it. The Bible is given to us to be read, studied and understood. To drive us closer to God. “All scripture is profitable for doctrine and reproof and instruction”. The purpose of theology is not to tickle our intellect but to be instructed by God and grow into fuller knowledge and maturity. It also impacts how we respond to life’s events and points to assurance in His true faith rather than our own.
My hope is that through this study, we will dive deeper into God’s Word, understand Him and ourselves better and be overcome with joy by knowing what a great gift He has given us! Led by Mark Martore.

A Child of God for His Glory [Part 2]
A Child of God for His Glory [Part 2] · 12 Weeks
Our culture is inundated with explanations for behavior. It’s all very confusing, and laden with excuses and/or guilt. It’s an over-simplification to say that our identity is in God, although that is true. How do we live boldly in the world by His word, confident in His design, plan, and calling? Who are we, and who are we becoming as we grow in Christ? And why? An ongoing identity study
Led by Karen Roberts. New group members welcome.

Gospel Training Group for Women
Gospel Training Group for Women · 12 weeks
The purpose of Gospel Training is to introduce key discipleship concepts and to help our congregation learn more about flourishing in God’s grace and bearing fruit as we engage in the 3 Loves. While discipleship is a life-long process, this Gospel Training provides twenty-three lessons spread out over seven to eight months. Our desire is to see people intentionally apply the gospel to their life through Gospel Training. We also desire to equip others to be deployed in the Vision and culture of The Vine. We hope that the relationships built in Gospel Training will last many years.
- Groups are run in a relational context
- Comprised of our gospel-centered Vision, Mission and Values
- Purpose is to train leaders and future leaders of The Vine, equipping them to understand the gospel and how to apply it in their lives and the leadership of others
Led by Rhonda Pugh
Moving Mountains · 12 weeks
Everyone has a reason to pray. We long to see God come through for us and those we love. Sometimes it seems that He doesn’t, and where does that leave us? Are we doing something wrong? Does He not hear? Why do some people’s prayers seem more effective than others? We often ask these questions and then give up on the very thing God has given us to not lose heart. Join us as we study prayer in a practical hopeful way. Led by Sherrie Coffey.
Book of the Bible: Joshua
Book of the Bible: Joshua – 12 weeks
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” [Joshua 1:9] The Lord called Joshua to a lot of difficult things AND the Lord kept His promises to be with Joshua throughout his life. The Lord is also with His people today as we walk through this life daily. Join us as we look together at how the truths of God’s Word apply to the things we all face each day.
