Prayer is not something we do rather, we believe it is who we are in Him. Prayer is our response to God’s invitation to spend time with Him and get to know Him and ALL of His glory.
As believers in Jesus, we have been invited into a loving relationship with God. This relationship is the first priority of intercession. The goal of prayer is God is to be intimate with Him, to radically and gloriously encounter Him, and to know Him better and love Him more.
Intercession flows from Him. The heartbeat of the Prayer Ministry at The Vine is to foster a consistent and deepening dialogue with God. We believe that being fully engaged in the Three Loves is demonstrated daily through our Prayer Ministry.
The purpose of Elder-Led Prayer is tocare for God’s people by loving them through prayer asking God to work in their lives for His glory and their good.
"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:1-15).
